Cooler Summer Seat : Amazing SummerSeat Self-Cooling Car Seat Cushion (Grey) (40"H x 18.5"W x 1.5"D)

I have a car with leatherette seats. They don't breathe and are very hot in the summer heat. I bought this seat cover because the idea seems perfect.

The seat cover arrived and I immediately installed it on the driver's seat. I sat down, plugged it in and turned it on. I instantly felt the cool air under and behind.

On my first commute (66 miles each way) I noticed that the seat felt fine but my back got warm. I had to lean forward to allow some airflow through the seat back to cool it off then I could lean back until I felt warm again. I also found the fan, hanging down at the front edge of the seat got in my way. It made it tougher to get in and out of the seat and I had to adjust my legs position around the fan when driving.

After about 2 days of use I noticed that the fan wasn't working. I reached down, lifted the fan section and heard the fan start. I let the fan back down and all was good. Until the next day. After a few days of having to mess with the fan to get it running it no longer starts at all.

The seat cover is out of the car and in my house. I will see if I can get it running again when I have time.

All in all, when the fan ran the seat stayed cool but the back would get warm. Seems like there is no outlet for the air when a person is leaning all the way back into the seat. The fan only ran for about 6 or 7 days and died. Great idea, terrible execution.
