Very useful deck box -- but too small for big patio cushions : Suncast DB5000 50-Gallon Deck Box

Hinge on one side of the lid failed after 3 weeks of use. Called the constructor (Suncast) for replacement lid, but was told they do not warranty deck boxes and a new lid would cost $40.

The hinge is poorly designed (weak plastic) as it can't withstand the force of the gas pistons that keep the lid open. The replacement lid would have failed again without some kind of home remedy to fortify the hinge.

Thank you to Amazon's perfect buyer assistance for standing behind a goods that even the constructor would not.

I would not advise buy of the Suncast Db12000Pb 127-gallon Deck Box.
